In July, horse-driven carriages were waiting for tourists at the doorway
of the Uygur ethnic customs park in the suburb of Kashi. Kashi, located
in southern Xinjiang and the border area in southwest China, abounds rich
ethnic customs and flavors. Uygur people account for more than 90 percent
of the total population in the city. It utilizes unique ethnic customs to
develop attracting tourism items.
