All of China's major banks are well represented in Dalian, offering a
full range of services to business.

To date there are 26 foreign financial institutions that have set up
operation in Dalian. China's accession to WTO will lead to a
liberalization of the country's financial services sector, and increasing
numbers of foreign banks and insurance companies are expected to base
their services to the northeastern market from Dalian.
