Xuecheng District of Shandong's Zaozhuang City, hometown of "railway
guerilla," applied to the State Administration for Industry and Commerce
to register "railway guerilla" trademark. In early November, the district
was approved to use such trademark. Xuecheng District has invested 150
million yuan (US$18.4 million) to develop red tourism, build patriotic
education bases and reproduce architectural styles of the ancient town,
including "old foreign-style street," "international foreign firm," "folk
house" and "store."
