www.chinanews.cn 2005-12-15 15:52:21

Five 7.5-meter-tall huge cartoon "dogs" stood erect, holding their heads
and tails up, on the Huabiao (ornamental column in front of places,
tombs, etc.) Square at Xinghai Bay in Liaoning Province's Dalian City on
Dec. 14. They went to their posts more than one month before the Chinese
New Year to greet the Year of the Dog in Chinese lunar calendar.
