Emperor Qianlong's robe to be auctioned

An embroidered imperial robe thoroughly inlaid with tiny pearls dating
back to Emperor Qianlong's reign (1735�C1796) in the Qing Dynasty caught
the eye of numerous people on March 3. Sotheby's Spring Auction held a
pre-auction show in Beijing on that day. This imperial robe will go under
the hammer with another 40 items of Emperor Qianlong's time on Sotheby's
Spring Auction to be held at Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre
from April 7 to 10.
