In a primary school in Hubei's Ezhou, a supernumerary pupil was sitting
beside their elder brother as companies of studies on Apr. 4th. With
rapid growth of rural migrant working economy, most farmers in Echeng
District, Ezhou City, Hubei Province seek jobs in cities to increase
their income and their children thereby are left behind. In view of this
situation, Echeng District Education Bureau added special seats for
left-behind children in some of the primary schools in the district and
allowed pupils to bring their younger brothers and sisters to school as
companies of studies.
