Associate tones with world regions. For me, 1 is Norhern Europe, 2 is East Asia, 3 is

It's probably easiest to order them online. The books I mentioned are published by a Shanghai
publisher and you might not be able to find them easily in Beijing bookstores.

You should also get 古汉语常用字字典 by Wang Li. It's probably the most useful and most
practical classical dictionary for everyday...

Very good explanation indeed, though I don't really agree with " So, using 那 for 哪 may reflect
an older usage which, as Adrian said, occasionally still crops up in materials from Taiwan or Hong
Kong....

semantic nuance, the simplified form for 隻 is 只, so my original 只 is correct. Also, your
correction 不过来ㄧ了匹马 should be re-corrected as...

typos near the end of the passage:

注意 (should be 主意)
才或是去骗人的人 (should be without 才)

With the fable you transcribed, I think you're right, the name should be 長 instead of 張.
(I also think that as a double surname, 長孫 should be read as Zhang3sun1...
