Streets in Xinjiang's Kashi are filled with an auspicious and joyful gala
atmosphere on Nov. 2, the eve of the Lesser Bairam Festival. Muslims
swarm to the streets to purchase candies, meat and pastry and prepare for
the approaching festival. Muslims marked the end of the fasting month of
Ramadan in China today.

A fried noodle shop in Xinjiang's Kurle City is busy frying Sanzi (fried
noodle, a traditional snack food for Muslims) on Nov. 2.
