Heavy rain raised water level of springs in Jinan

After the heavy rain, Jinan's underground water level surged more than 40
cm on Sept. 20. The Heihu (black tiger) Spring was gushing and
thundering, and the water formed the shape of a fan from the tiger mouth.
According to water resources department, Jinan's underground water level
is the highest in 30 years.

The famous Baotu Spring was gushing and thundering, rising nearly 50cm
high on Sept. 20. At 17:00 yesterday, water level of the spring reached
29.44 meters, the highest since 1975. A rare heavy rain on Sept. 19th
caused the water level of Baotu Spring to rise 44cm in two days.
